Stoos ridge trail

The ridge walk from the Klingenstock to Fronalpstock mountain is uniquely beautiful. The panoramic view is so indescribable, you have to experience it for yourself. The four-kilometre walk in the middle of unspoilt nature offers spectacular views of more than ten lakes and is an absolute must for mountaineers with a head for heights.

The flora and fauna of Stoos are just waiting to be discovered: For example, you can learn lots of interesting facts about the local moorland along the approximately one-and-a-half-kilometre-long, natural moorland adventure trail.
The «Alpchäsweg» cheese trail takes you through idyllic scenery to cosy pubs and traditional Schwyz Alpine cheese dairies. Don’t forget to taste the delicious cheese while you are there.

Sundown on Fronalpstock mountain

Take the chairlift to Fronalpstock mountain in comfort and watch the sunset at an altitude of 1,922 metres: this natural spectacle is both mystical and breathtaking. Especially when accompanied by alphorn players when the weather is fine. Enjoy the panoramic view until the last ray of sunshine – preferably with a drink or a snack in the summit restaurant.

Cross-country skiing – for health and mind

Do your laps on the trails surrounded by snow-covered nature and breathe in the pure mountain air: Cross-country skiing is both a healthy way to exercise and a meditative experience. Stoos and its surroundings offer seven varied cross-country trails for the classic and skating style. Even early in the morning or late in the evening, the night trails in Morschach and Muotathal are illuminated. As a hotel guest, use of the trails is free of charge.

Older children and adults with a need for speed are sure to love the two-kilometre sledging and airboarding run on Fronalpstock mountain.
